Select what text you want skipped while reading including text in parentheses, URLs, headers, and footnotes

Skip unwanted text by adjusting the Skip Text, AI Filter (pdf), or Margins (pdf) settings.


Skip Text

Skip text in parentheses, URLs, super and subscripts, or vertical text.

  1. Upload a document or type/paste text into the app

  2. Select Filter

  3. Select Skip Text

  4. Click to select which text to skip over

  5. Select Close to save and apply your settings



AI Filter

This feature can be used with pdfs only. Skip graphs, figures, tables, headers, and footnotes.

  1. Upload a document or select a document from your Library

  2. Select Filter

  3. Select AI Filter

  4. Select to select which text to skip over

  5. Select Close to save and apply your settings

Select Report an Issue from the AI Filter settings to let us know if something on the page was not correctly skipped over.


Margins

This feature can be used with pdfs only. Manually adjust the reading margins to include or exclude text on the page being read aloud. Text outside the margins will be skipped.

  1. Upload a document or select a document from your Library

  2. Select Filter

  3. Select Margins

  4. Adjust the margin values. Text outside the red box will be skipped.

  5. Select Close to save and apply your settings


Margins with OCR

This feature can be used with pdfs only. Text outside the margins will be skipped.If manually adjusting the margins doesn't work well to skip text, try Margins with OCR (subscription required). This will automatically detect and skip over unwanted text that the AI Filter might have missed.

  1. Upload a document or select a document from your Library

  2. Select Filter

  3. Select Margins

  4. Select Margins with OCR

  5. Select a page range

  6. Select Convert Now

  7. Once the conversion is done, select Open Now
