Use the Advanced Tunes to insert SSML tags to adjust breaks, emphasis, pitch, and volume. All voices supported inserting break and pitch tags.
Insert an Advanced Tunes tag to any text segment by selecting the Advanced Tunes icon.
Adjusting volume or emphasis may not be available in select voices or voice styles.
*New Beta Voices do not support using SSML tags with the Advanced Tunes*
Keep in mind that you may add multiple tags to the same word.

Insert breaks or longer periods of silence.
Click in your text where you'd like to insert the break
Click on the Advanced Tunes setting icon in the segment you're modifying
Next to Break, adjust the length of silence in milliseconds (ms)
Select Apply
To delete a break tag, click on the coloured text of the break, then click on X to delete the tag
Modify words to add strong, moderate, or reduced emphasis.
Highlight the word you'd like to modify for emphasis.
Click on the Advanced Tunes setting icon in the segment you're modifying
Next to Emphasis, click and use the drop-down menu to select from strong, moderate, or reduced
Select Apply
To delete an emphasis tag, click on the coloured text of the break, then click on X to delete the tag
Modify words to add x-high, high, low, or x-low pitch.
Highlight the word you'd like to modify for pitch
Click on the Advanced Tunes setting icon in the segment you're modifying
Next to Pitch, click and use the drop-down menu to select from x-high, high, low, or x-low
Select Apply
To delete a pitch tag, click on the coloured text of the break, then click on X to delete the tag
Modify words to add x-loud, medium, soft, or x-soft volume.
Highlight the word you'd like to modify for volume
Click on the Advanced Tunes setting icon in the segment you're modifying
Next to Volume, click and use the drop-down menu to select from x-loud, medium, soft, or x-soft
Select Apply
To delete a pitch tag, click on the coloured text of the break, then click on X to delete the tag
You can modify or delete any inserted SSML tag.
Click on the word that contains an SSML tag to modify its settings. Words that are tagged are marked in the Studio Editor and are colour-coded. Orange indicates that multiple tags are applied to the selected word
To edit a break tag, click and type to modify the milliseconds. For other tags, click and use the drop-down menu to change the setting
To delete the tag, click on the X button
Words that have been tagged with Advanced Tunes are colour-coded in the Studio Editor. View the full SSML tags in a selected segment from the options.
In the segment you wish to view the full SSML tags for, click on the 3 dots to open the Options
Select Show SSML Tagged Text
While viewing the tagged text, you can click and type to modify your script or the SSML tags directly.
Select Validate Tags to ensure any inserts or edits to the tags are correct
Select Remove All SSML Tags to delete all applied tags to the selected text segment
Select Save to save any edits
