What is Voice Cloning?

Voice cloning is the process of using AI technology to create a synthetic copy of your voice. With advanced LLM technology, you can clone your voice in seconds using only 1 minute of audio.

Remember that any voice you clone using the personal version (Premium, Plus, or EDU plans) is permitted for personal use only so cannot be redistributed in any way, including for narration on YouTube, training, or elearning videos or any other non-personal purposes.


Getting Started

  1. Open the NaturalReader personal app

  2. Select the Speaker icon to open the voice settings

  3. Select NEW: Clone Your Own A.I. Voice


How to Clone Your Voice

  1. After selecting NEW: Clone Your Own A.I. Voice from the voice settings, select + to start creating your cloned voice

  2. You will need add audio to clone your voice, either by uploading an existing file or by recording a sample. First, select the language you will be using in your audio sample and select Next to proceed.

  3. You will first need to confirm your consent to create your voice clone. Fill in your name and either upload audio reading the consent statement or select the Record button to record your consent. If you're recording, select Stop when you're done recording then select Start Cloning to proceed to the next step.

  4. If you are uploading an existing file, select Upload. Your file should be 50-90 seconds in length. Select Next to proceed.

  5. If you are recording an audio sample, select Record. We will provide text for you to read aloud. Press Record to start and read aloud the text. Select Stop when you have recorded at least 50 seconds of audio or read until the timer runs out. Select Next to proceed.

  6. Preview your audio recording. If you need to re-record your audio or upload a different audio file, select Redo Audio. If you're happy with your audio sample, select Next to proceed.

  7. Give your cloned voice a name and optionally add a description or tags. For voice generation purposes, select if the voice is male or female. Select Next to proceed.

  8. It will take a few moments to generate your voice clone. When the option appears, select Next to finish.

  9. You can now find your cloned voice in the app's voice settings. In the settings list under LLM Voices, select Cloned Voices to view and use your voice.


Language Support

With LLM technology, you can make your cloned voice speak over 100 languages! You can record or upload audio using your preferred language, but once it's created, you can have it speak these languages:

English, Albanian, Amharic, Arabic, Armenian, Azerbaijani, Bangla, Basque, Bengali, Bosnian, Bulgarian, Burmese, Catalan, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Estonian, Filipino, Finnish, French, Galician, Georgian, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Icelandic, Indonesian, Irish, Italian, Japanese, Javanese, Kannada, Kazakh, Khmer, Korean, Lao, Latvian, Lithuanian, Macedonian, Malay, Maltese, Malayalam, Mongolian, Nepali, Norwegian, Pashto, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Sinhala, Slovak, Slovenian, Somali, Spanish, Sundanese, Swahili, Swedish, Tamil, Telugu, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Urdu, Uzbek, Vietnamese, Welsh, and Zulu


Limitations

Each user can create 1 cloned voice. If you'd like to re-create your cloned voice, delete it first before making a new one.

Cloned Voices are considered LLM Voices and so are included with a Plus subscription and have the same limitations. Learn more about LLM Voices and limits here.

Each character used with an LLM Voice will count as 2 characters towards your daily TTS and monthly mp3 conversion limits.
