Introduction
Plans for individuals are given the option of 1 subscription tier: Plus. The EDU group subscription plans however have 2 tiers available: Premium or Plus.
The difference between Premium EDU and Plus EDU are what voices are included. Visit our Features article to view a full list of web and mobile app features or our Plans & Pricing article for more about pricing.
When you open the voice settings in the app, all voices are labelled as being Free, Premium, or Plus.
TTS (Text-to-Speech) Limitations
Voices in the language setting are labelled as either Free, Premium, or Plus.
Plus Voices are advanced AI or LLM current generation text to speech voices. These are the highest quality voices. Premium Voices are non-AI previous generation text to speech voices.
Some Plus voices are multilingual, meaning that the same voice can read text in multiple languages. While the voice settings are sorted by language, all multilingual voices can be found in their own category "Multi-Lingual", and will also show in each language category they support.
Some multilingual voices are LLM Voices. LLM is a more advanced type of AI voice that gives you the best quality of natural sounding voices. LLM Voices also include Cloned Voices. Learn more about LLM Voices here.
Keep track of your daily TTS Usage by going to Account > Daily TTS Usage. View your mp3 character count by selecting MP3 from the app menu.
LLM Voices (including Cloned Voices) are considered Plus Voices. Each character consumed using an LLM Voice is counted as 2 characters towards your daily TTS or monthly mp3 character limits.
