This article covers how to set up a new NaturalReader EDU group, referred to as a School, and manage School-level settings. This includes School information, ownership, and access to optional features.
Check out About NaturalReader EDU for more information about the basics of user management and how your School is organized.
Starting an EDU Account - Creating a School
Only follow these steps if you are setting up a new NaturalReader EDU group as the owner. If you wanting to join an existing group, contact the owner or an admin to request an invitation instead.
To get started, visit NaturalReader EDU's product page and select Get Started > EDU.
If you've already started an EDU subscription, start by selecting the link under Where to Access in your order confirmation email.
Either option will take you to the EDU Management welcome page, where you may be prompted to login or create a NaturalReader account before setting up your School.
After logging in or if you are already logged in:
Select Open a new school - Set up NaturalReader.
Enter a name for your School and select Continue.
Because you can belong to multiple Schools, you'll now be asked which School you want to manage. Choose the School you just created and click Select.
Your EDU School is now set up and you'll be taken to the Overview dashboard in EDU Management. From there, you can create and manage Classes, add and manage members, and configure your School settings.
You can return to EDU Management from the main app by going to Account > EDU Management or by bookmarking https://www.naturalreaders.com/edu/.

Whenever you open EDU Management, you'll land on the the Dashboard Overview.
The Overview provides an at-a-glance view of your School, including its members, Classes, and Shared Library. You can also use it to quickly invite members or open the different management areas.
Use the menu to access:
Members: Invite and manage members, including removing members and assigning them to Classes. Owners and admins can manage members.
Classes: Create and manage Classes. Only the owner can create Classes.
EDU Library: Manage Shared Library content. Each Class can have its own optional Shared Library, where members can access and listen to documents shared with their Class. Owners and admins can manage Shared Library content.
School Settings: Manage School-level settings and permissions. These settings can only be changed by the owner.
Subscription: View and manage your EDU subscription and billing. This is available to the owner only.
