Why NaturalReader EDU?
NaturalReader EDU is a group subscription option that provides NaturalReader AI Text to Speech access to multiple users under one centrally managed account.
While designed primarily for schools and educational institutions, EDU group plans can also be used by any organization looking to provide personal-use text to speech tools or accessibility assistance to multiple users.
NaturalReader EDU provides more than text-to-speech. Along with high-quality, natural-sounding voice options and multilingual support, it includes accessibility and study tools designed to make reading easier to follow, navigate, and understand.
Follow along with sentence and word highlighting, reduce distractions with Skip Text and AI-powered filtering, and customize the reading experience with visual reading preferences and a dyslexia-friendly font for typed text. Study tools such as highlights, notes, and reading queues can help students stay organized and engaged with their materials.
NaturalReader can also be used across the web app, mobile apps, and Chrome extension, giving members flexibility to listen from different devices and environments.
Other tools, including OCR and MP3 conversion, provide additional ways to access printed, scanned, and digital content.
About EDU Management
EDU Management provides the administrative tools for organizing and managing your NaturalReader EDU group.
All members use their own NaturalReader account logins to access EDU plan features. Owners and any designated admins manage member access through the EDU Management settings. Within EDU Management, your EDU group is referred to as your School, and members are organized into groups called Classes.
Members can be added or removed as needed, up to the number of users allowed by your EDU plan.
Different EDU plan options are available depending on the number of users and voice access your organization needs.
An EDU School can remain active with or without a paid subscription. Without an active plan, all members remain in the School and have access to NaturalReader’s Free features.
Member Roles
Everyone who belongs to an EDU School is considered a member and takes up a seat. For EDU Management purposes, members have one of three roles: Owner, Admin, or User.
Every EDU School has one owner. The owner is the NaturalReader account that purchases the EDU subscription. For online purchases, the email address entered at checkout becomes the owner, so please make sure to use the email address of the individual who is intended to manage the School.
For purchases made by purchase order, please provide the email address of the intended owner. This may be different from the person arranging or authorizing the purchase.
Once the School is set up, the owner can create Classes and add members to them. Members can optionally be designated as admins to help manage members, as well as manage Classes' Shared Libraries.
Owner: The primary account holder for the EDU School and/or subscription. The owner has full access to EDU Management settings, as well as subscription and billing management.
Admin: Has restricted access to EDU Management for managing members and Shared Libraries. Cannot manage billing information or settings.
User: A standard member of the School without access to EDU Management or billing.
All members have full access to the NaturalReader features included with the EDU plan regardless of their role. All members count toward the School’s user seats, including the owner and admins.
Classes
Members within an EDU School are organized into groups called Classes. When adding a member, the owner or admin assigns them to a Class. Members can belong to more than one Class.
Each Class has an optional Shared Library, managed by the owner and admins. Members can access documents added to their Class' Shared Library from their own account Library to read or listen to, but cannot add to the Shared Library.
AI Features and Voice Cloning
PDF AI Features (includes Podcasts, Quizzes, A&A, and Chat) and Voice Cloning are optional for EDU Schools. The owner can enable or disable access to these features from EDU Management.
